DANI FELT DROPS NEW TRACK "GONE"

Nashville based artist Dani Felt recently released her latest track, “Gone”, which she wrote with her friend Zac Lavender in Brooklyn. She discusses getting off the subway and walking to Zac’s house when she got a text regarding the death of her grandfather.

“I could have chosen to just go home. Instead of cancelling the writing session, I went to Zac’s and channeled my emotions into co-writing a song,” Felt describes. You can feel the emotion coursing through the song through both the electronic beats and the vocals. She dedicates the song to her grandfather and his spirit.

Dani clearly thrives in the dark pop/electronic genre and this song makes it very apparent. Dani’s voice floats over the electronic beat until it builds up to the chorus which makes the transition from pop to folk-like.

The song seems to be about an ex, talking about the relationship negatively, and she doesn’t want to hear it because she is free from the hold of it and should be gone out of their mind. This could also apply to toxic friendships that you escaped from and you do not want to hear people talking garbage about your side.
