BETTER LOVERS DROP NEW SINGLE AND TOUR DATES

Early Monday morning, a new song got launched by a newly formed group titled Better Lovers. The band is made up of vocalist Greg Puciato (ex-Dillinger Escape Plan), guitarist Jordan Buckley (ex-Every Time I Die), bassist Steve Micciche (ex-Every Time I Die), guitarist Will Putney (END, Fit For An Autopsy), and drummer Clayton “Goose” Holyoak (ex-Every Time I Die.) If you were a fan of Every Time I Die or Dillinger Escape Plan, this project is definitely for you. The new song, “30 Under 13” via Sharptone Records, comes at you at 100 miles an hour with Greg’s screaming and does not stop. The chorus is backed with the insane panic riffs you’re probably very familiar with from Jordan Buckley and crew. There is a moment at 3:41 that I think really culminates the song.

“Jordan sent me some already finished instrumental tracks, and they hit me at just the right time,” said Puciato in a press release. “Those tracks woke up a side of me that I thought was fully extinct but was merely evolving and changing. To my complete surprise there was still something left in that area to dig at, and the vessel for it made sense.”

The drumming behind the track is exactly what it needs. Every piece of this song breathes fire and I cannot stop listening to it. As someone who was a massive fan of Every Time I Die, I am so happy to see Jordan, Steve, and Goose back behind instruments. Will Putney brings his insane technical skill to the song and it’s a great combination of super talented musicians. If this is a taste of what is to come, a lot of people are going to get roughed up in the pit this summer during these songs.

In addition to the new single, they also announced a summer amphitheater tour supporting Underoath and The Ghost Inside alongside We Came As Romans, which is sure to turn up the heat. The tour starts in Ohio on July 15th and rolls through the whole end of the summer.
