BRODIE DAWSON RELEASES NEW SINGLE 'I'M MOVIN' ON'
On November 19th singer-songwriter Brodie Dawson recently released her new single “I’m Movin’ On” from her forthcoming album Wholehearted out Spring 2022. She considers her style a mix of soulful folky blues with a twist of pop and a twang of old school country. The country/ folk tone can be heard through both the vocals and music on the track.
She has said about it,
“I wrote this song a handful of years ago while sitting on my sunny patio one afternoon, and contemplating the state of my ongoing complicated and tumultuous relationship. We were living separately at the time, as we have for most of our marriage in fact, and I had a daydream of just getting in my car and getting out of Dodge…”
Even if you haven’t been married, you probably have dreamt of running away from your current life and starting over, but relationships and friendships keep you where you are and grounded.
The album is definitely going to be something to watch next year if you dig the track, which we certainly do.
