NICKELBACK AT STARLAND BALLROOM IN SAYREVILLE

Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ is a legendary venue in the tri-state area. Most artists play this venue early on in their careers and bands such as All Time Low, Taking Back Sunday, and more continue to come back because of the fans that keep this place going. Nickelback finally played the venue for the first time for their “Get Rollin’ Album Release Show”. Fans spanned wall to wall inside the venue for a sold out night and the energy in the room was like no other. Fans young and old came out for the show and even braved the first Jersey snow of the season for the experience.

Jersey natives, Reality Suite, opened up the night and got fans amped up and ready to go for Nickelback to take the stage. Once the band took the stage, it was evident that everyone was beyond excited to hear new and old songs. The band opened the night with “San Quentin”, the first single off the new album, and the crowd belted out every word. You could tell the guys in Nickelback were feeding off of the crowd’s energy and enthusiasm.

The band played all of the hits including “Photograph”, “Animals”, “How You Remind Me”, and “Rockstar”. Before jumping into “Rockstar”, vocalist Chad Kroeger took a moment to speak about how the band saw a huge spike in popularity during the peak in TikTok over the last few years. He also attributed the spike to TikTok personality, Kris Collins (@kallmekris). To the crowd’s surprise, Kris came out on stage to lead the room in a singalong of “Rockstar”, to which fans boomed with excitement.

Throughout the night, Kroger and other members of the band took time to throw picks and high fives to fans, as well as signed autographs between songs. It’s incredibly evident that Nickelback loves their fans and they definitely brought the energy and a great night for all who attended.
