EVERY TIME I DIE DROP NEW MUSIC FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOUR YEARS

Buffalo, New York’s heavy hitters Every Time I Die are finally back with some new music to help see this wretched year out. The yet-to-be-released-title 9th studio record has been done since March, but it was confirmed in October by vocalist Keith Buckley what everyone suspected; the record won’t be released until they can rightfully give it its due with a tour. If you’ve ever seen Every Time I Die live, you know how much of a live band they are and how they thrive off the cramped club atmosphere.

December 8th, the band has released two new songs, “A Colossal Wreck” and “Desperate Pleasures”. This is their first new release in 4 years since since the release of the record Low Teens in 2016.

Bassist Steve Micciche tweeted, “We decided to come out and do the double single, ya know, like Green Day did with “Brain Stew/Jaded” back in 95. I think that was actually said in a group chat. Whatever, it’s been 4 years. Enjoy them on all streaming and downloading sites below.”

This is a set up I very much dig because they do flow very well into each other. Also, it was stated they’re two sides of the same coin. One, “A Colossal Wreck”, is a very nihilistic approach to the current state of society where the other, “Desperate Pleasures”, is much more optimistic, saying hold your loved ones close, these are desperate times. Art work can be seen below:

The lyrics for both can also be found below as Keith Buckley tweeted them out earlier today “for those that are interested”.

20 plus years into their career and Every Time I Die find ways to reinvent themselves every album.

”A Colossal Wreck” and “Desperate Pleasures” can be found on streaming services now!
